Summary: UZH shares the Zurich quantum ecosystem with ETH Zurich and PSI. The Department of Physics hosts groups in quantum information, condensed matter, and AMO physics, with some overlap with ETH through joint appointments and the Zurich Quantum Center. The Institute for Computational Science contributes quantum simulation. UZH's own quantum sensing profile is more moderate than ETH's, but benefits enormously from proximity to ETH (joint seminars, shared facilities via ETH FIRST cleanroom access). The Department of Biochemistry and Institute of Molecular Life Sciences contribute biophysics and single-molecule sensing capabilities. Best accessed as a gateway to the broader ETH–PSI–UZH ecosystem.

Notes: Close partner with ETH Zurich — shares quantum ecosystem, joint seminars, and some faculty. Department of Physics active in quantum information, condensed matter, and AMO physics. UZH Biochemistry/IMLS strong in single-molecule biophysics. Access to ETH FIRST cleanroom via collaborative agreements.
